Revive Superfoods Review – Smoothie Delivery Service

Do you love smoothies? We sure do.

Ever since we took the plunge and purchased our Vitamix blender in 2013, we’ve been making smoothies daily ever since.

With two busy kids it’s a great way to add more fruits and vegetables into our diet, and is the ultimate meal-on-the-go.

However…there’s a catch.

Recently I found myself skipping smoothies because I just didn’t want to deal with the prep work. 

Between keeping the fridge stocked with ingredients, peeling, cutting and clean up, I started to get a bit lazy.

But when I skipped my afternoon smoothies, I really missed the quick energy boost. Not to mention knowing I’m getting a decent amount of nutrients, especially if the rest of my snacks that day are less than ideal.

I needed to find a solution.

So when Revive Superfoods popped up on my Instagram feed I was excited to check it out. 

We already have most of our groceries delivered, so I’m no stranger to this type of service. But would it be worth it for just smoothies?

The frozen smoothies arrive in an insulated cardboard box surrounded with dry ice. They’re still completely frozen when they arrive, even on a hot day in the middle of August.

Each smoothie is individually packaged in a handy cup, so you can just top it up with the liquid of your choice (which for me is almost always cashew milk) and toss it all into the blender. 

Once it’s mixed you can pour it back into the cup, put the lid back on, and drink it with the stainless steel straw that’s provided.

How easy is that?!

And in case you’re wondering what they taste like, they’re delicious. Very delicious. And we’ve tried all 10 of the available options.

They’ve really nailed the right combination of ingredients (which is something my usual method of guesstimating is seriously lacking).

My personal favorite is Hint of Mint, my husband loves Morning Mocha and the kids like Punch of Fruit and Strawberry Zen.

Now we’re having multiple smoothies daily, and loving it!

But there is a down side.

The only slight hesitation I have with this service is the cost. Even with free shipping, I know it exceeds what we’d normally spend on smoothie ingredients.

However, I’m happy to shuffle around some funds in the budget if it means we’re eating more healthy, organic, whole foods.

And I know the value of convenience, health, and reducing stress!

We’ve just compensated but cutting out a few treats and meals out every month (which to be honest, we should have done anyways).

So is Revive Superfoods right for you?

I’d recommend this service to anyone that loves the health benefits of smoothies, but doesn’t want to deal with all the extra work that goes along with it.

Whether you’re busy with kids, a career, or just a packed schedule, this can really help to boost your nutrition throughout the day (especially if you often find yourself opting for junk food).

Who might not benefit from it?

Despite how much we love this service, I would not recommend it people that fit into the following categories:

• You’re completely broke. Smoothies aren’t worth going into bankruptcy for.
• You have zero freezer space, for obvious reasons.
• You don’t enjoy the taste to real food smoothies. These don’t taste like the sugary, milkshake type “smoothies” you get at the mall.
• Your blender is a 30 year old hand-me-down from your great aunt. But you don’t need a Vitamix (although they rock), any decent high powered blender will do.

FAQ

How to cancel Revive Superfoods subscription?

This is an important question to ask before you sign up for any subscription service!

There’s an easy self-serve option on the website to make changes to your account. Just sign in and go to Manage Plan > Plan Status. Then click “Pause Subscription”.

You can also click on “Upcoming Deliveries” to pause individual dates. Just be aware of the processing deadline, which is 1 hour before your next scheduled payment .

The Revive Superfoods phone number is not listed on their website, but on the contact page, you’ll find a form that can be sent directly to customer service.

I’ve contacted them several times with questions, and they’ve always replied in a timely manner.
